Lyra Garcellano
Lyra Garcellano (born 1972) graduated from the College of Fine Arts of the University of the Philippines. Garcellano is a rising contemporary artist and is also well known as the creator and illustrator of the comic strip Atomo and Weboy. She has exhibited widely in group and solo exhibitions, and in 2002 was selected to be the Artist in Residence under the UNESCO- Aschberg Bursaries for Artists and did her residency in Yogyakarta. In 2006 she was awarded the 13 Artists Award by the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Garcellano lives and works in Manila.
